Our JROTC unit was established in 1993 and designated the Trojan Battalion. The unit crest with the motto dedicated and determined symbolizes the unit's focus, spirit, and commitment. The JROTC program intends to teach cadets an appreciation of ethical values and principles that underlie good citizenship, communication skills, importance of physical fitness, military history and to develop leadership potential. The program trains more than 150 cadets each school year. The battalion has an array of elite teams that cadet's can join. These teams provide after school, weekend, and summer activities for cadets. The teams also provide opportunities for cadets to compete and represent their school against other JROTC units from across the nation. The special teams include Color Guard, Drill Team, Raider Team, Rifle Team, and Academic Challenge Team. There is a Service Guard team that supports on campus and off campus community events.
