17 Aug 09 The Color Guard started the school year off by presenting the colors at the Back To School Teacher Workday.

11-13 Sep 09 - Cadets Butler and Turner attended the NRA Youth Education Summit in Raleigh, NC.

11 Sep 09 – Cadets Capshaw and Sibley planned, coordinated, and executed a school wide program to recognize the victims of 9/11.

12 Sep 09 - The Honor Guard planned, coordinated and provided support to the Angier, NC Chamber of Commerce for their annual Crepe Myrtle Festival.

19 Sep 09 - The Honor Guard planned, coordinated and provided support to the Lillington, NC Chamber of Commerce for their annual Fall Festival

26 Sep 09 - The Raider Team participated in a Raider Challenge at Western Harnett and won 1st Place Overall.

28 Sep-1 Oct 09 - The Battalion participated in a Cadet Challenge. Alpha Company earned a streamer for having the highest Cadet Challenge average in the Battalion.

17 Oct 09 - The Raider Team and Rifle Team competed at East Rowan High School in Salisbury, NC. The Rifle Team finished fifth out of all participating teams.

23 Oct 09 - The Honor Guard and Select Cadets participated in Homecoming. Select Cadets escorted the Homecoming Court.

24 Oct 09 - The Raider Team and Rifle Team competed at Southern Lee High School in Sanford, NC. The Rifle Team won 2nd Place Overall, and Cadet Montalvo placed third among all competitors in the standing position with a score of 89.

31 Oct -7 Nov 09- Select Cadets work in shifts to support the set up and operation of Harnett County first annual county fair.

4 Nov 09- Cadet Corps retains Honor Unit with Distinction rating by acheiving 584.9 points out of 600 points during Formal Inspection.

10 Nov 09- Trojan Battalion Cadets host their sixth Annual Veterans Day Educational Assembly. LTC (R) Arlie Smith is the Guest Speaker. Cadets conducted a special salute to veterans of each military branch.

11 Nov 09- Raider Team Cadets supported Harnett County Veterans Council in setting up for Annual County Veterans Day program. Honor Guard provides Honor Cordon for distinguish guests, which included a Brigadier General and a Congressman. The Honor Guard also served as guides and ushers. The Color Guard presented and retired the Colors for the ceremony.

12-15 Nov 09- Thirty Eight select cadets participated in a field trip to Washington, D.C. Cadets conducted a tour of the White House, Capital Building, Arlington National Cemetery, The Kennedy Center, and the Air and Space Museum.

17-18 Nov 09- Rifle Team participateed in JROTC National Postal Competition. The team placeed 14th out of 43 units within the brigade, and 80th out of 191 Army units nationally. Cadet Rhoades lead the team with a high score of 247.

19 Nov 10- Rifle Team earns 5th place in Lumberton South East Regional Rifle Championship. Cadet Elmore earns a medal for having the highest score on the A Team. Cadet J. Becerra-Perez earns recognition for having the highest score on the B Team.

21 Nov 09- Raider Team competes at Overhills High School in Raider Challenge events and earns a 1st place trophy in Land Navigation.

5 & 7 Dec 09- Trojan Battalion participateed in Christmas Parades in Angier and Erwin, NC respectively.

9 Jan 10- Raider Team finishes second in Sandhills Raider Challenge competition at Lee Senior High School.

18 Jan 10 - Trojan Battalion participateed in Dunn, NC Parade to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

18 Feb 10-Rifle Teams competes in Dillion Postal Match. Team earns second place in competition. Cadet Brown earns high scorer awards.

27 Feb 10- Rifle Team competes at North Brunswick and acheives its highest finish ever at North Brunswick.

13 March 10-Trojan Battalion hosted 2010 HC/DAV Raider Challenge. Eighteen Raider Teams from across North Carolina and Virginia participated. Fred T. Ford JROTC Raider Team wins the competition.
17 March 10-Select cadets conducted training with Middle school students designed to inspire their retention and use of math principles taught in the classroom by their teachers.
18 March 10- Select cadets support the set up of equipment for Spring Senior Games.
23 March 10-Rifle Team competes in the Spring Southeastern Regional match sponsors by Lumberton and wins the event for the first time in six years of participation.
31 March 10-Select cadets continue with Middle School interaction project.
17 Apr 10-Parents sponsored car wash to support JROTC Activities.
20 Apr 10-Rifle Team competes in Union Postal Match. Team earns third place overall, and a first place for higest standing score. Cadets Brown and Evans earn individual awards.
21 Apr 10-Select cadets continued with Middle School interaction project.
24 Apr 10-Rifle Team competes in Central Region Civilian Marksmanship competition and earns first place. Cadets Brown, Molina and Fatima earn individual awards.
1 May 10-Raider Team competes in Best Raider competion at Fort Bragg.
12 May 10-Select Cadets concluded Middle School interaction project with special game activities for students. Cadets received touching thank you cards/letters from participating Middle School students.
15 May 10- Trojan Battalion Military Ball conducted at the Pope Air Force Base Officers Club.
31 May 10- Cadets supported and participated in Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans Park. Raider/Rifle Team assisted with set up of event and removal of equipment and material after the event. Color Guard presents the Colors and the laying of the wreath. Honor Guard served as guides and Memorial Guards.
5 June 10-Honor Guard supported Angier Chamber of Commerce in set up for Bike Festival.
12 June 10-Color Guard presented Colors for High School Graduation. Cadet Battalion Commander McLein leads graduates and guests in the Pledge of Allegiance.
13-17 June 10- Nine Cadets attended JROTC Cadet Leadership Camp at Oak Ridge. Cadet C. Capshaw finishes as the Number two cadet in camp (Honor Graduate) with several other cadets from the battalion earning individual awards.
20-25 Jun 10-Cadet White attended American Legion Trooper Program.
20-26 Jun 10-Cadet Shaw attended American Legion Boys State Program.
15-18 July 10-Four Cadets attended Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge, PA.
The Color Guard presented the Colors at 5 home football games, 8 home basketball games, 6 community events, and 3 middle and elementary school events.
