10 August 12: Color Guard support District Summer School Graduation at Campbell University led by Cadet E. Myhres.

18 August 12. Cadet A. Carmichael leads a cadet group of five in support of the Kangaroo Salute to the Troops drive.

21 August 12. Color Guard present the Colors at the back to [[#|school]] teacher's meeting for the faculty.

7 Sep 12. The Service Guard under the command of Cadet C. Green provided crowd control and traffic control support for the home [[#|football game]] aganist Overhills. The Color Guard presented the Colors for the game under the command of Cadet E. Myhres.

8 Sep 12. The Service Guard under the command of Cadet C. Green provided support to the Anger Chamber of Commerce for the city's annual Crepe Myrtle Festival. Fifteen cadets assisted with set up of the venue and assisting vendors with setting up. The Color Guard under the command of Cadet E. Myhers presented the colors for the event.

11 Sep 12. Cadet Cadet N. Worden for the second year in a row prepared a display in the Commons commenorating the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Utilizing the public address system, Cadet A. Carmichael made a presentation to the student body on the events of September 11, 2001.

14 Sep 12. The Color Guard under the command of Cadet E. Myhres presented the Colors at the North Harnett Primary Constitution Day [[#|Program]]. Members of the Color Guard were included in a news article on the event by the Angier Independent.

14 Sep 12. Service Guard members provided crowd control and traffic control for the home [[#|football game]] aganist South East Raleigh. The Color Guard presented the Colors under the command of Cadet E. Myhres. The commander of the Service Guard was Cadet C. Green.

15 Sep 12. The Service proviced a full day of support to the Lilington Chamber of Commerce in support of the Annual Lillington Fall Festival. The team assisted with set up of the venue, traffic control, assisting vendors, clean up at the end of the event. The commander of the team was Cadet R. Shylion and the assistant commander was Cadet A. Copeland. Cadet E. Myhers commanded the Color Guard which presented the colors for the event.

21 Sep 12. Cadet E. Myhres led the Color Guard to another successful support of an event at the [[#|school]] that was sponsored by the Harnett County Republican Party.

26 Sep 12. Members of Bravo Company (2nd Block) provided support to College Day activities on the campus. The support element was commanded by Cadet H. Valentine. The cadets served as guides and assistants [[#|for college]] representatives, and assisted the Juniors and Senior in getting in the Gym in a smooth and orderly fashion. The support team also assisted with the tear down and clean up.

28 Sep 12. The service Guard under the command of Cadet C. Green provided support for the home football game with East Wake high [[#|[[#|[[#|School]]]]]]. The Color Guard presented the Colors under the command of Cadet E. Myhers. A detachemnt of cadets under the command of Cadet Y. Zepeda provided support to the McCleary Family in their Celebration of Life [[#|Program]] for their daughter who had passed away and who also was a member of our high school student body.

29 Sep 12. On this day in drill competition at Scotland High School in Lauringburg, NC, the Drill and Color Guard Teams competed against sixteen other JROTC [[#|[[#|[[#|units]]]]]]. The Squad without Arms element earned a fifth place trophy and the Color Guard earned a fourth place trophy. Cadet C. Albro won first place in knock out drill to become the first cadet from the battalion to acheive this distinction in drill competiton against other units in ten years. The Color Guard Team was commanded by Cadet E. Myhers, and the Drill Team was commanded by Cadet A. Yost.

5 Oc t 12. Cadet Battallion completes 1st semester Cadet Challenge. The top five female cadets are: E Mhyres, B. Gilbert, A. Bethea, N. Worden, and M. Vasquez. The top five male cadets are: C. Mitchell, N. Mills, H. Valentine, S. Martinez, and D. Ferrell.

6 Oct 12. The cadet battalion successfully conducts its annual fall car wash at Kelly and West Law Firm in Lillington.

10 Oct 12. The Rader Team conducted its annual 5k Road March at Ravin Rock on the Campbell Creek Trail. Team is support by the Rifle Team. A picnic was held at the conclusion of the Road March. Meal prepared by 1SG Harrison and Mrs. H. Valentine.

12 Oct 12. Color Guard present the Colors at the Homecoming Game aganist West Johnston. The Service Guard conducted traffic control for the game and provided special escorts and presenters for the half time program.

20 Oct 12. Rifle Team lead by Cadet F. Constant participates in the Hawg Shoot at Lexington High School.

25 Oct 12. The Service Guard lead by Cadet C. Green supported the set up for the Fall Senior Games.

26 Oct 12. During Club Day activities, the Trojan Battalion formed on the Band Practice Field and conducted an awards and promotion ceremony. The Battalion also conducted a company level Spirit competition. Battalion level activities concluded with snacks in the cafeteria.

26 Oct 12. Service Guard and Color Guard supported Senior Night Game aganist Garner. Coordination conducted by the Battalion resulted in the Army's Golden Knights Paracute Team conducting a performance prior to the begining of the Game. The team Jumped in the national colors and the game ball.

27 Oct 12. The Drill, Color Guard, Rifle and Raider Teams participated in the Southern Lee Tri meet. The Raider Team lead by Cadet N. Mill earned a third place trophy in Rope Bridging. The Drill Team commanded by Cadet A. Yost captured a first place trophy in Platoon Armed Regulation Drill. Cadet A. Carmichael and Cadet F. Constant each earned individual awards in Rifle Team competition.

7 Nov 12. LTC (Retired) Fred Burke, a World War II reenactor, made a special presentation to all classes on life as a World War II Veteran.

8 Nov 12. The Trojan Battalion conducted its Nineth Annual Salute to Veterans Program. The guest speakers were SGT Alonzo Lunsford and SFC Frankie Crawford. Both did a great job and drew ovations from the student body.

9 Nov 12. The Color Guard commanded by Cadet E. Myhers performed in the Lillington Shawtown Elementary School Salute to Veterans Parade.

10 Nov 12. Cadet N. Mills commanded a Color Guard consisting of Raider Team members that presented the Colors at the opening ceremony for the Harnett County Veterans 5K Race. the Radier Team also competed in the race. Cadet N. Mills placed 1st in ghe nineteen and under category and Cadet S. Martinez placed third.

10 Nov 12. The Drill Team captured third place overall in drill competition sponsored by Triton High School Army JROTC.

12 Nov 12. Raider Team assisted Harnett County Veterans in setting up for the County's Annual Veterans Day Program in Veterans Park that began at 1100 hours. The Color Guard presentd the Colors and was also respnsible for presenting the Wreath during the Wreath Laying protion of the program. The Service Guard perfromed usher and Honor Guard duty. Radier Team members served as Service Flag Bearers during the program.

12 Nov 12. The Cadet Battalion participated in the Harnett County Annual Veterans Day Parade that began at 1300 hours in Lillington.

12 Nov 12. Four Raider Team members under the command of Cadet N. Mills presented the Colors at the Golden Coral in Fuquay Varina salute to veterans meal.

13 Nov 12. Rifle Team participates in the National JROTC Postal Match.

15 Nov 12. The Rifle Team particpates in the Lumberton Southeastern Regional Rifle Match and finishes seventh.

17 Nov 12. Raider Team members particpated in the Overhills Raider Challege and earned third place finish in Rope Bridging, with one minute and fifty six seconds, first place finish on the Litter Carry with a time one minute and thirty six seconds and an overall finish of third place. The Raiders also won the Tug of War contest for the first time in team history.

20 Nov 12. Select Cadets participated in JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB) lead by Cadet K. Coleman and A. Rajoub. The Academic Challenge Team commanded by Cadet Coleman advances to the second round of competition to conducted from Jan-Feb 13.

20 Nov 12. Rifle Team members compete in the Fred T. Foard Rifle Team Postal Match and earn a third place finish out of 19 teams. Cadet F. Constant earn an individual award for highest prone score of 95 among all particpants. Cadet Nazar earned an individual score for highest kneeling score of 88 among all particpants.

1 Dec 12. Cadet Battalion participated in the annual Angier Christmas Parade.

3 Dec 12. Cadet Battalion participated in the annual Erwin Christmas Parade.

8 Feb 13. Color Guard presented the Colors at the State Disable American Veterans Convention in Raleigh, NC.

13 Feb. Color Guard presented the Colors at the Black History Program assembly.

16 Feb 13. Drill Team competes at Overhills High School. The Team acheives a 1st Place in inspection, 2nd place in Regulation Squad Armed, 2nd place Regulation Unarmed and 3rd Overall Regulation Drill.

23 Feb 13. Drill, Color Guard, Raider and Rifle Teams compete at North Brunswick. Raider Team earns 1st Place in Knot Tying and finishes third overall. Rifle Team finishes in the top ten of competing teams. Drill Team earns a third place trophy in Regulation Squad Unarmed Drill and a 2nd Place in Regulation Platoon Unarmed.

2 Mar 13. Drill, Color Guard, Raider and Rifle Teams compete at Lee Senior High School. The Rifle Team earns a third place trophy and Rifle Team members Constant and Carmichael each earned individual awards. Drill Teams earns a 1st place in Squad Unarmed Drill.

8 Mar 13. Color Guard presented the Colors at DAV convention in Raleigh, NC.

9 Mar 13. The Battalion hosted its annual Raider and Rifle Team competition. The Rifle Team placed first in the competition with several team members earning individual awards.

18-21 Mar 13. Battalion completes Cadet Challenge. Cadet Bolin had the best score for a Male and Cadet Green had the best score for a female.

23 Mar 13. Battalion successfully completes spring car wash with great success.

28 Mar 13. Color Guard presented the Colors at the school assembly on Bullying Prevention.

9 May 13. Color Guard presented the Colors at Foreign Language Honor Society Induction Ceremony.

11 May 13. Battalion hosted its annual Military Ball at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux in Fayetteville,NC. The guest speaker was Dr. Wright, Assistant Superintenant Harnett County Schools. The Principal was in attendance. The battalion began a punch bowl ceremony. Cadet Pineda perform an inspirational solo that was enjoyed by all. Select cadets were honored for superior performance. The military ball attendance was 182.

27 May 13. Raider Team, Color Guard and Service Guard support annual community Memorial Day Program at Veterans Park by assisting with set up and tear down of equipment needed for ceremony, presenting the Colors, Presenting the Wreath, serving as ushers and honor guard for monuments.

1 Jun 13. Service Guard assist the Angier Chamber of Commerce and vendors with the set up for the Angier Bike Festivals.

3 Jun 13. Color Guard presented the Colors at the school's Awards Day Program.

4 Jun 13. Color Guard presented the Colors at awards and recognition program for seniors.

7 Jun 13. Color Guard presented the Colors at the school's graduation ceremony at Campbell University.

16-22 Jun 13. Cadet H. Valentine participates in the American Legion Boys State Program.

22-28 Jun 13. Ten cadets participated in JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge Camp at Fort Jackson, SC. Cadets Green, Ballentine and Cruz are among the top ten females in their company on the physical fitness test. Cadet Cruz finishes first among females competing in the Iron Woman competition, Cadet Jarmon is a member of the platoon that earned first place in drill competition.

18-21 July 13. Cadets Carmichael, Hayes and Shyllon participates in Freedom Foundation Youth Leadership Forum at Valley Forge, PA.

27 jULY 13. Service Guard supports North Carolina Veterans' Legacy Foundation special ceremony at Harnett County Goverment complex to honor four Airmen with the Airman's Medal. Team received letter of appreciation for their efforts.
