Special recognition goes out to cadet Maria Rezendez for placing third in individual knock out drill. Cadet Brandon Contreras for scoring a 220 in his first competition. Cadet Timothy McNeil for achieving his expert award and scoring a 245.
20th October 15- The battalion supports the Senior games, by having selecting cadets help out.

28th October 15- The Rifle team competed in the Fred T. Foard Postal Rifle Competition.Congrats to the Alpha Rifle team for place second out of thirty-four, the Bravo team placing tenth. Special recognition goes out to cadet Timothy McNeil for finishing sixth out of sixty-one advanced competitors. Cadet Brandon Contreras who finished second out of eighty-six first year competitors. Cadet Danielle Sessoms who placed fifth of eighty-six first year competitors.
31st October 15- The Drill, Raider, and Color Guard teams competed in the competition at Cleveland High School. The Drill and Color Guard earning second place overall. The Raider team earning third place overall.
2nd November 15- J-Lab Academic/Leadership Teams Compete and advance on to level 2 competition. The two teams are lead by cadet William McCormick And Cadet Dalin Page.
7th November 15- The Harnett Central JROTC shows our support at the Veterans 5k. Participants included: the Rifle team, Raider team and Color Guard.

12th November 15- The Raider, Drill, and Color Guard teams compete at Overhills High School. The Drill team earned second in Platoon regulation with Arms, a second in Platoon Regulation Drill without Arms, a first in Platoon Inspections with Arms, a third in Color Guard drill, and a third overall. The Raider team placed first in the Litter Course, and a first in the Tug of War. The drill and Raider teams ptwo laced third overall.
13th November 15- The Cadet Battalion participates in the fundraiser Century Resources.
16th November 15- The Rifle team participates in the National postal competition.
5th December 15- The cadet battalion participates in the Angier Christmas parade. Led by C/Cpt. William McCormick.

26 February 16- Inspectors from the Brigade Headquarters conducted a JROTC Program for Accreditation inspection of the Battalion. All Cadets were in their Class As. The unit achieved a score of 93 and fell two points short of the required points to achieve Honor Unit. with Distinction status. Never the less the unit was rated as proficient under the more rigorous and comprehensive standards.with the Cadets scoring a perfect score on their portfolios.
6 March 16-Special Teams (Raider/Rifle/Drill/Color Guard) participated in the Lee Sr. Tri Meet All teams excelled in the competition and the unit was able to place in the overall ranking for the competition.
12 March 16-Our unit hosted its 11th annual Raider Challenge and 4th annual Rifle Match. Twenty one Raider Teams competed and eleven Rifle Teams. East Surry placed first overall in the Raider event and West Brunswick place first in the Rifle Team Match. The sponsorship from DAV Chapter 74 was again critical to the success of the Raider competition. The Rifle Team competition received sponsorship from the Harnett County Veterans Council which enable success of the event.The unit also received great support from parents.
4-8 April 16- Cadet Challenge administer to all Cadets.
23 Aprl 16- More than 50 Cadets gathered at the Harnett County Court House to participate in the JROTC Global 5K celebrating the 100th anniversary of JROTC. After the 5K, Cadets were treated to pizza, cake and ice cream. Refreshments for this event was coordinated by Ms. Hadwin. The Harnett County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post provided significant support for the 5K course.
14 May 16- The Annual Military Ball was hosted at the Iron Mike Catering and Conferencing Center, and was a great success.
26 May 16- The Colors are presented at the Senior Awards Program.
4 June 16- Support of set up of the Annual Bike Festival in Angier was accomplished by the Service Guard, and the Color Guard presented the Colors during the opening ceremony.
10 June 16- The presentation of Color was conducted by the Color Guard for the Graduation Ceremony. The Battalion Commander introduced the Color Guard, and the rendering of honors to the national and state Colors.
11-17 June 16- Fifteen Cadets attended JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge Camp at Fort Jackson, SC.
